Sunday School

Wendy Sampson, Church School Superintendent

Spiritual education is important to us and we welcome your children to attend our sunday school. This year's Sunday School program is called "Spark."

Sunday School is open to all children from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. Classes and lessons are held each Sunday morning starting at 9:30. Confirmation classes are also available for children who wish to be confirmed in the Congregational church.

In addition to our Sunday School classes, nursery care is available during regular worship services for children up to age 4.

Sunday School News - January 2012

Super Saturday for December 3rd was a Movie Trip. Five children and two adult chaperones attended a matinee showing of "Happy Feet 2" following the annual church "Hanging of the Greens." Lots of popcorn and a good time was had by all.

"Super Bowl" will again be held in February on the 5th of this year. Prepare for an excellent light lunch served by the Sunday School children. Proceeds will be donated to a local mission.

Sunday School News - November 2011

Thanks to everyone who participated, bakers and staff, in the Bake Sale at the Harvest Festival. As usual, it was a tasty success!

Classes are underway and the new "Sparkle" is in everyone's eye. Winter curriculum (Advent and Christmas) will begin on November 20th. Please remember to look at the volunteer listing in the Pulpit and Pew to see when your child will be an acolyte.

Sunday School News - October 2011

Sunday School this year began with Rally Sunday. This year will have a one-room school house with choir before and crafts after. The Sunday School includes wonderful teachers using the Spark curriculum. Our Youth Choir is in the musical hands of Jim Dennehey.

October is a busy month! The Sunday School, with volunteers, runs the Bake Sale at Harvest Festival on October 15th. There is no Sunday School on October 9th (Columbus Day Weekend).
